Ants From Up There

Black Country, New Road

2022

This album is beautifully produced and interesting all the way through. I love 'The Place Where He Inserted the Blade' and 'Good Will Hunting'

Bluebeard

The Brook & The Bluff

2023

At some point I realized I had liked every song on this album but never listened to it in full, it is much softer than some of their other projects and I love it. 'Prove You Wrong' nearly gets me every single time.

Absolutely

Dijon

2021

I have listened to this album with my friends Charlie and Giuseppe more than probably any other, we all saw Dijon live together in 2025.

Racing Mount Pleasant

2025

'Your New Place' is among my favorite songs ever and a beautiful way to open the album, what a sophomore project.

Dizzy up the Girl

The Goo Goo Dolls

1998

'Iris' will always be a first ask for karaoke and 'Slide' never far behind.

Thunderhead

Kinji

2025

I got to see Kinji live in Los Angeles in 2026 and he opened with 'gravity well'. Fantastic show and fantastic album.

XONGZ አስቀያሚ ጡብ

Bricknasty

2024

A 24 minute long album that is absolutely worth a listen. XONGZ opens and closes so loudly and excitedly, but the middle of the album, 'reprise' and 'alone for this', are incredibly somber.

Faces

Mac Miller

2014

I don't think there is any estate being handled better than Mac Miller's. I really enjoyed the 2021 re-release of faces and I haven't put it down since.

Slugger

Derby

2025

I first heard Derby on Kevin Abstract's 'Blush' and I had to hear more. I saw Derby live with my old friend James and it may have been one of the best live performances I have seen.

Modern Johnny Sings: Songs in the Age of Vibe

Theo Katzman

2020

I first heard 'What Did You Mean (When You Said Love)' followed by 'Fog in the Mirror' while road tripping through Vermont. This album is awesome.

Shadowglow (Deluxe)

Flipturn

2023

Fantastic indie album, I love the acoustic and live versions included in the deluxe, specifically 'Halfway (Acoustic)'

A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships

The 1975

2018

What is not to like about this album? 'Be My Mistake' and 'It's Not Living (If It's Not With You)' are two of my favorite songs.

portrait of a dog

Jonah Yano

2023

'portrait of a dog' is probably my most listened to album on this list. This is seriously an album you should hear.

ISOLA

Gabriela Richardson

2026

I don't know exactly what genre to call this but I love it. Find me more of it...

Friends & Family

Hayden Everett

2025

I prefer some of Hayden Everett's solo versions of these songs however this album works so nicely and a few of the songs like 'Expiration Date' make me want to move to the mountains.

Cilvia Demo

Isaiah Rashad

2014

Cilvia Demo has remained one of my favorite rap albums ever. I think it is seriously underappreciated.

Like A Damn Dog

Sarah and the Sundays

2025

I know every word of every song on 'The Wall'. I love the storytelling and there are no skips for me.

Grace

Jeff Buckley

1994

I have had my moments with 'Lover, You Should've Come Over' but I come back for 'Mojo Pin' and 'Last Goodbye'

ye

Kanye West

2018

I love this Kanye album, I think it is one of his most interesting and honest projects. It is also just plain beautiful. I used to play 'Wouldn't Leave' for my little sister and I sometimes check on her playlists and see it still always there

The Road And The Radio

Kenny Chesney

2005

My mom used to have a Kenny Chesney CD at home and we listened to it all the time. On the opening track, 'Old Blue Chair' he sings about place called Cinnamon Bay, not far from where my parents got married.

Blush

Kevin Abstract

2025

When this album came out I had recently been broken up with and I listened to Maroon a million times driving around in my dad's Tacoma. Charlie and I know every word of every song.

Mad and Noisy

moondoggy

2023

'Long Nights' somehow sneaks onto all my playlists and when I hear it I think of the summer after I graduated highschool. The album is almost as good as all those memories.

Swimming

Mac Miller

2018

Swimming is the Mac Miller album I come back to the most. 'Self Care' is a masterpiece as is '2009' as is 'Come Back to Earth'.

Outro Lugar

Toco

2007

When I used to work at the Spain Inn restaurant, everyone spoke Portuguese and I learned enough to translate this album for myself. 'Bom Motivo' is among my favorite songs anywhere.

LP!

JPEGMAFIA

2021

One of my oldest friends, Zach, put on '1539 N. Calvert' once and from then on I have listened to JPEGMAFIA. This is my favorite of his albums. The outro of 'SICK, NERVOUS & BROKE!' is unreasonably pretty.

Continuum

John Mayer

2006

If you have never heard 'Continuum', just go listen to it. I am always reminded of being a kid and my mom putting this on whenever we had guests over.

Live From Space

Mac Miller

2013

I really enjoy the live banter and covers of BDE on this album. Before I ever made any playlists I made one called 'Fall 24' because I loved the music I was listening to at the time so much I had to save it. This album is heavily heavily featured.

This Old Dog

Mac DeMarco

2017

'This Old Dog' was all I listened to for like a year in high school... Despite that, I come back over and over again for almost every song on it.

AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP

A$AP Rocky

2015

This is one of the albums that got me into rap. I still listen to so many songs on here, A$AP Rocky is at his best.

On an Island

David Gilmour

2006

I love this album so much all the way through. In middle school, my parents sent me to chinese coding bootcamp and I hated it, however, I had enough time to listen to 'On an Island' twice through.

Blonde

Frank Ocean

2016

Weird to think this is 10 years old... What an album, and every time I listen again it's better. I love 'Self Control' but I try not to hear it because it breaks my heart.

Vince Staples

2021

When this album came out I listened to it for an entire summer non stop. I Can't ride my bike in Seaside Park without thinking of 'ARE YOU WITH THAT?'

Circles

Mac Miller

2020

I prefer swimming but I love them both. I know every word of nearly the entire album and I cannot help myself typically...

Local Mvp

Sainté

2021

This album never misses for me, one of my longest playlists surprisingly is just UK rap and it includes every song on 'Local MVP'.

Pop Food

Jack Stauber

2017

A pleasant album that comes with a lot of pleasant memories :)

An Evening with Silk Sonic

Silk Sonic

2021

My junior year of high school I hung out with my friends Ben and Giuseppe and listened to nothing but Silk Sonic every single time. It definitely still stands up today.

Life of a DON

Don Toliver

2021

I like new Don Toliver but love the sound of this album way more. This album was the soundtrack to some of my favorite moments in my teens.

Piñata

Freddie Gibbs & Madlib

2014

Every time I listen to Piñata it takes double the actual length because I have to listen to most of the songs twice or more.

When We Were Friends

The Backseat Lovers

2019

The Backseat Lovers were the soundtrack to highschool for me and my friends. I have to sing 'Pool House' and 'Kilby Girl' every time I hear them.

Views

Drake

2016

Not much to say here, I love this Drake album all the way through.

Cigarettes After Sex

2017

This is a go-to album to just throw on and listen. Everyone knows the couple hits but every song works so well together and I love it all.

Yes, No Question

Jia*

2024

A jam packed 16 minute album, Jia* is a super cool duo making some really awesome music. I can't pick favorites on here but 'Doesn't Work' and 'Nightlight' are fantastic.

SCRAPYARD

Quadeca

2024

Quadeca takes every song on this album in such different directions but it works wonderfully. 'Guide Dog' followed by 'Texas Blue' is just lovely.

Jonah Yano & The Heavy Loop

Jonah Yano

2024

'Concentrate' is one of my favorite songs as is 'Someone Asked Me How I've Been'. I am also so fond of the 30 minute outro 'The Heavy Loop'. Beautiful Jazz.

MANIA

Micah Dailey-White

2026

I love 'Voodoo' and 'Caramel'. This album is like a mix between Jean Dawson and Michael Jackson.

Malcolm Todd

2025

My favorite Malcolm Todd album so far. My roommate Kyle and I listened to this nonstop for a month when it came out.

Naked All the Time

Sports

2015

Super cool production and sound, this album is awesome for kinda alternative easy listening.

The Party

Andy Shauf

2016

A really perfect album, beautiful and relatable little stories that follow everyone at the party. Charlie is going to teach me to mix just to better love this album.

Animals

Pink Floyd

1977

I love 'Dogs'. I also think both 'Pigs on the Wing' are awesome.
